And are they allowed to carry/bring/take it:
around the house?
to the table/highchair?
in the car?
out in public?

Oh yes, we have beloved cowie. We actually have 2 of them, one of which is always in hiding so the other can be washed when needed.

Zoe sleeps with cowie, and she snuggles tight with him every night. She has a bunch of stuffed toys in bed, but cowie is the only one she cuddles with. She occasionally wants to take him and hold him while she goes to the toilet, and if we want her to sleep in the car, we'll take cowie with us, but otherwise she puts him back in the crib with a kiss and a "night night" once she gets up.

Claire does not. I wish she did, but she doesn't. I never did either and neither did DS. If she does grab something to take with her to bed, it is usually something different each time.

aww Zoe is adorable.

Juliet has a stuffed puppy, Pup Pup. Lately she's been trying to bring him out of the crib. I let her hold him while I change her diaper, then tell her it's time to put Pup Pup to bed so he is all rested for the next time she goes to bed. Some days it's harder for her to give him up than others. On Friday after nap I told her we would stay in her room until she put him back (no toys or anything fun in her room). She put him down after a minute or so. DH is apparently not on the same page, well, really he just gives in to her for anything. Today after nap she brought down Pup Pup and another stuffed animal and he put her in her chair with a snack without taking away the stuffed animals. So I had to be the mean mommy and say no toys at the table.

Oh and when we did our overnight drives to/from Florida, Pup Pup was with her in the car. And when she was at my mom's house last weekend for the first part of the night.

Xander just likes a blanket. As long at it's fleece it's ok with him. He has it in the mornings now when it's cold. I'll cover him with it in his car seat, he takes it to the babysitters every day and if he is ready to go to bed he will take it out of his crib or out of the diaper bag or wherever it is and go "ga-ni". I have a few fleece throws out on the couches in the living room (i have crappy heat) and he will lay on those sometimes and go "aaahhh" and cuddle up with them. It's really cute!

Yes, Kate has her Violet puppy stuffed animal. I turn on the music every night when I put her down, and she immediately rolls over and grabs Violet when I put her in the crib. And when I go get her in the morning she's sitting or standing there hugging Violet, lol.

Lately she's been trying to climb back IN to her crib to retrieve Violet - who has always lived in the crib. I let her carry it around the living room a bit, but it usually gets dropped and forgotten, then goes back in the crib. It doesn't leave the house - except when we went on vacation.

Nope. He has to have his blankies to sleep, but he never tries to take them out of the crib.

Avery had a doll she always slept with and took all over the house, but the one time I let her take her out in public, she got lost and the WORLD ENDED. I was kicking myself for doing that. I hunted all over online trying to find that same doll, but of course the only one I could find was on ebay and they were wanting like $50! I was about ready to shell out the cash when I thought of where she may have lost it. Thankfully, when I went in a couple weeks later and asked the store employee if they had seen a really ugly doll with insanely crazy hair, she said that she had it in the back. I so got lucky, but I think both Avery and I learned our lesson there! Three years later, she still sleeps with "princess baby" and she still looks just as scary as ever!

Yep...Vaughn has his "baby"...its a Gloworm =) It stays in the crib and is for nap/bedtime. He's so lovey dovey with it, so cute to watch. But def, as soon as I lay him down, he goes for his baby and plays music. I know hes asleep when the music stops playing =)

Oh, and his baby can come out of the crib if we are going on a long trip, like airplane or road trip, otherwise it stays put.

Morgan doesn't have anything she takes around with her, but she loves her Boppy. If you choose to use it WATCH OUT! I can just picture the little cuss words and treats coming out of her mouth as she's screaming at the intruder.

Yep, lovie blankie. It's a 18"x18" baby blue blankie. He actually sleeps with 2 of them. I think we have a total of 6 of them. We let him carry it around the house, but he doesn't get to eat with it. I have a diffrent little lovie blanket for in the diaper bag. If he is really upset or tired while we are out he'll settle with that one. He also has the striped blankie and a blanket Allie made that he sleeps with to cover him up. He's got quite a few stuffed animals in his bed at night but plays with those while falling asleep.

Jamie sleeps with Pooh Bear but she will usually accept another stuffed animal if I can't find him. She also has a puppy that she loves a lot. She really loves all stuffed animals and started hugging them when she was about 3 months old. She also likes to have her sippy all the time but she will put it down to play and forget where it is. Sometimes she will take Pooh Bear out of her crib but usually he just stays inside. I think as long as she has something soft to cuddle in her bed, she doesn't really care but her favorite is Pooh bear.
