Do you order a separate order for your LO or share plates?
What about if you have to eat fast food?
Do you still give baby snacks or just the food you eat?

It kind of depends where we go. If I think he's hungry enough to eat a decent amount or if one of the kids will eat his leftovers, then I'll just get him one. Usually he ends up sharing with me though.

We very rarely eat fast food, but if I had to, I'd get him some chicken nuggets.

I was sharing my plate with Kate since she didn't eat much, except last time I did that she ate half my meal!! So apparently she's going to need her own now. -.-

Fast food.... when I do that I try to have something with me for her to eat, or I'll order like a chicken burger so she can have the chicken patty.

At home same thing... if i'm eating healthy she has some. If I'm not I'll grab some snack thing for her. I do still keep some baby purees for when I run out of fresh fruits and veggies!

depends on what I want to eat and how hungry we both are

Juliet has had fast food more times than I care to admit At chickfila I get the chicken nugget meal with fruit and share with her. Other places we usually get her chicken and fruit, but she likes to steal DH's burgers and fries.

Do you still give baby snacks or just the food you eat?
If we're out and about, I always try to have snacks in my bag - cheerios, goldfish, veggie straws, crackers, etc. If we know we're going to a restaurant where we'll wait for food sometimes I give her snacks, but crayons and paper occupy her pretty well now too.

Eliza still eats like the world's pickiest bird, so she just takes a bite or two from whatever we're having. One of us tries to order something we know she'll like. DH and I eat more fast food than I'd like (every couple weeks or so) and Eliza will pretty much only eat a couple of fries. She will NOT eat meat of any kind, ever. She gets her own snacks and meals at home because she's so picky, but then she also gets a little bit of what we have so that she's introduced to new foods and doesn't just get to eat yogurt for every meal. I so wish I had a better eater.

*Depends on where we go, but at the average restaurant, he gets his own kids plate. But if we know a place we are going to gives larger portions, we'll share. Or if its pricey, we'll share too.

What about if you have to eat fast food?
*On the occasion we do eat fast food, he gets his own meal too. We don't do it enough that I feel bad letting him have a Happy Meal or similar.

Do you still give baby snacks or just the food you eat?
*We don't have "baby snacks" anymore, for example Gerber type foods or toddler marketed snacks. He just eats whats in the house. A constant in our house for snacks on the go are Goldfish and Kirkland Trail Mix. I'll just fill up his snack up and he's good to go anywhere...i love that thing!

We don't eat out, ever. I work in restaurants so if I go to one it's 15 minutes before my shift to have a salad. Not really my thing.

Violet has had fast food a few times. I have only ever given her chicken nuggets and Apples. I don't eat meat so we don't share.

At home, I have pleanty of vegetarian options as well as meat so she will eat (a few bites at a time) whatever we are having. She gets her own plate of food, which isn't much.

If I leave the house I ALWAYS have snacks.

She's picky but olives, oranges, Morningstar Corn Dogs, avocado or Gogurt will be accepted without batting an eyelash

I've always just shared since he is not even slightly picky. The only food he really doesn't seem to like is bananas and I'm still giving them to him once a week or so to retry.
Lately I feel like he's eating more than his share so I may have to start ordering for him. Although he'll eat anything, he doesn't eat much at all for the most part.

I might ordering hin a kids meal the next time we're out or else get an appetizer.

The other night I had to hit a drive thru and ordered him a burger. I really couldn't see how fried chicken parts was any healthier, but maybe it would have been. I just knew he'd want what I had since that's what he always has. Anyway...he mowed into it and ate almost the entire thing! It was crazy.

For snacks: Mini babybel cheeses are big here. He would eat those all day long if we let him. Multigrain Cheerios, pineapple (I think he just likes the slicer I have for that), blueberries, yogurt, cucumber, or various leftovers are other popular snacks. As for baby directed snacks he would do pretty much anything to get to those baby cheesy things so I ordered some new organic ones for him to try. The other new fantastic snack we've just discovered is Just Tomatoes freeze dried fruits. We polished off a huge tub of the fruit munchies mix in a couple of days with only a little help from various visiting little people. Interesting though...he doesn't like the bananas from them either. The other kids all freaked over the bananas. Peaches were also a big hit. I highly recommend these things. I bought them wholesale through a co-op so that was much less spendy.

Ohhhh those sound great! I'll have to look for them.

We do a lot of cheese, cheerios, yogurt, fruit cups, fresh fruit, bread. I feel like we're all bored with the same snacks. One day I gave her peanut butter on bread. That was.... messy. LOL

Do you order a separate order for your LO or share plates? We just share our plate with her...

What about if you have to eat fast food? We try to limit the amount of times we eat out in a month... Due to monthly expenses, but it's beneficial for us as well. But when we need a quick dinner, I will drive thru Wendy's and grab Addison an order of Chicken Nuggets.

Do you still give baby snacks or just the food you eat? I always leave the house with snacks packed. Our go to's are: GoGo Squeeze (Applesauce in a Pouch), Fruit Cups, Dry Cereal and String Cheese.

Since we have the same dietary restriction we usually share a meal. I also always have snacks on me so he will eat those too usually while we're waiting for our meal to come.

Can't eat at fast food places so that's out

As far as 'baby snacks' go, yes Colton still eats the Happy Tot fruit and veg pouches. They are gluten, soy, and dairy free so they are an awesome snack for him. Plus they have the breakfast ones that have 6g of protein!

Elise won't eat well unless it's on m plate. It must taste better. If what I'm getting isn't toddler friendly (Cajun pasta for example) I order her something from the kids' menu. She LOVES to eat my salad. We go eat Hibachi a lot and I share my plate. This kid loves fried rice!

Fast food: I'm sure you can dig up a post from last year when I was cussing mil for this garbage but then Df started being in charge of dinner so we eat it once a week. Ugh. She dislike chicken nuggets but will wolf down a cheeseburger. Not proud moment for me.

Fruit and veggies are the only snacks Elise gets now. She's obsessed with bananas.

Jamie usually gets her own meal with fast food but in restaurants we feed her bits off of ours. We rarely eat out anywhere other than fast food, though. We eat fast food far too much, at least once a week. She loves chicken nuggets and fries. I need to try substituting the apples on her again since she got her 1st molars or whatever. She used to always choke on anything too solid but now she crunches up anything she gets like a pro.

Jamie almost always gets whatever we are eating at home if it is me serving. Sometimes with something really messy like something with a sauce we give her something else or with pasta or ground beef we will save some plain pasta for her. The only meal of the day she even cares much about lately is breakfast, though. The rest of the day she will snack on some cereal or goldfishies. By dinner time she usually just plays with her food.

Grant is a chowhound so he generally gets his own food. Of course he eats ours too, just because it is ours. It also frees us up to order what we want. Also, we can order his as soon as we sit down so it gets to the table faster. I always have baby snacks in the diaper bag, but ordering his food first means we don't need them as much. I carry a restaurant bag full of coloring supplies, matchbox cars, snacks, a pretend phone, and a bathtub book Erin and Juliet got Grant for his birthday. Grant gets it all messy and gross but it's washable.

It depends where we go. Lately we have been ordering her her own little meal and I will order something small and then share with her. She cannot eat a regular meal of kids menus. A lot of times we will also order an appetizer that she can eat and then supplement her meal with ours.

EDIT- I just found this yesterday! Restaurant Waiting Games! Preschool Crafts Photo Gallery | Preschool Crafts for Kids | FamilyFun
