The past few years we've gone to the inlaws... not doing that this year! Growing up we had cinnamon rolls, and then probably eggs and stuff. I'm not sure what I'll be doing. I think I want cinnamon rolls or something similar, then maybe I'll also make a breakfast casserole I can make up the night before and just stick in the oven in the morning.

My mama always made biscuits and gravy (which I pretty much force her to make every time I see her, because it's amazeballs) so I think I'm gonna take a stab at it this year! My family's 2,600 miles away so I guess I have to keep up the traditions myself. I'm so excited to have our own tiny celebration on Christmas morning before heading down to the in-laws'!
We never ate a breakfast on Christmas. We were too concerned with playing with toys. That and whoever was making xmas dinner was busy cooking for that, which is what I will be doing.
Uh oh...now you'll be sucked into the Pinterest vortex.
My mom always hosted the big extended family brunch on xmas and made a Sandwich Souffle. We all love it and now we all make it in our own homes on Christmas morning. I make a mushroom sauce, stewed tomatoes, hash brown potatoes, and bacon with mine. I'm hosting my inlaws. It's not the same since it's my tradition and not theirs, but it's a tradition I want to continue with whoever I end up with for the mornings.
Those waffles sound crazy dangerous good. Passing the recipe on to my mom and sister who both have new waffle irons.

I usually like cinnamon waffles on Christmas morning and there will probably be bacon as well. It's like a regular weekend breakfast for us. I will probably fancy it up a bit for Christmas by making cinnamon syrup. We stay at our house till after lunch time when we are heading to IL this year so we have time and can be lazy and enjoy the chaos of the three of them playing with new stuff. My family is on boxing day this year so another weekend breakfast that day too before we make the drive in for dinner.

Cereal it is.
Us too. LOL But we'd go over to my Aunt and Uncle's afterwards, and they often had some kind of baked food to eat or eggs or something. But my house? Cereal and hot chocolate.
