Is your LO ready for the day as soon as they wake up, or do they need some wake up time?
I never noticed much before, since our mornings are usually hectic, but Juliet really likes to slowly wake up. We just put a camera in her room so now I see her rolling around a bit before I hear anything and realize she's awake. Then, when she announces she's ready to get out, I change her diaper then we cuddle on the couch for a bit before breakfast time. Usually on weekdays I have to get her up, changed, dressed, and we leave almost immediately. So I guess she uses the 20 min drive to daycare to get used to waking up. But it explains more why she's so cranky in the mornings when I try to get her dressed.

Once she's up, she's ready to go. She often rolls around in her crib playing with her toys, other times she calls for us fairly soon. If we have to wake her up, she pretty much jumps up and often says "all done!"

Ashton is ready to play the minute his eyes pop open. When he wakes he dumps the entire contents of his crib on the floor and then calls for us. He barely even stops for breakfast.

Oh, Eliza most definitely needs wake-up time, and so do I. Most of the time she rolls around and talks to herself a bit before crying, and then she comes into bed with me and we have a 10-20 minute snuggle/nursing session. When she's done cuddling she wiggles off the bed and goes into the living room to stare blankly at the wall or TV until she's fully awake. I can't even change her diaper right away, I have to wait until she's ready or there's hell to pay. She's like that after naps, too. Usually she just wants to sit with me with her sippy for a while.

G likes to lounge. He gets so angry if I try to set his feet on the floor before he's ready. He's still in our bed so he just lays there for quite a bit. Then he talks to himself a bit or just looks around. Then he occasionally nurses for a minute, but he's usually just in for snuggles not nursing. Then he points out my eyes, nose, ears and mouth until I can't hold my giggling in any longer and obey his commands to "open". Then if he had it his way we'd lay in bed playing for the good part of an hour before heading up for a new diaper and breakfast. He's a definite cuddler especially after naps and mornings.

Ha...Mason does the exact same thing! It's like his routine...lay there and jabber to himself for a good while, then throw all 3 of his blankets out of his crib, then jump like a wild monkey while hysterically laughing. It's hilarious to just watch him on the monitor. I love that! He'll lay in his crib and talk for sometimes an hour or so to kind of wake up. Once he does that (and the jumping), he's ready to roll. But if I have to wake him up, he's a zombie for an hour or so. And if I wake him up early, he's MAAAAD and will do everything he can to escape and go back to bed! The boy LOVES his sleep.

Ditto this whole thing, except no nursing anymore. Kate definitely needs quiet time to wake up. I can pull her out of the crib, cuddle her, and stick her in front of the TV... but do NOT try changing her diaper right away, she screams like I'm torturing her. After she's awake she'll slide off the couch (or my lap, wherever she is) and start to play and we're good to go.

Vaughn is ready to go if I took him out of the crib, but momma needs more time waking up, so he's super chill and content to just hang out in his crib...he plays music from his Glo-worm, talks and rolls around. Then when I hear him starting to call for me, I know its time...and usually from him waking up to calling me is generally about 30minutes...so we're both happy in the AM =)
