and Happy belated bday Betsy!

Any tales to tell from last night?
We actually ended up staying at my sister's til after midnight. GG stayed up and partied the entire night! and no one even called Children's Aid. He was so happy and danced all night, it was hilarious. Then he slept til....noon! I love that little party animal. I took a bunch of videos of him dancing with my nieces and thought they'd be so cute. The background noise is so obnoxious with the music and loud people though that they no longer seem share worthy. Plus every time I started recording he'd just stand there and take a break.

Happy New Year!!! (also happy belated bday Betsy!)

It was our anniversary last night, so went to Ruth Chris in Lahaina for dinner...walked around Front Street...weather was perfect, so just a lovely evening out! By 10, V was done but did some sparlers for him & from where our is we could see fireworks too, so we got it all last night!!

Juliet went to bed at her usual bedtime and DH and I watched TV and movies we found on demand. I did stay up until midnight after having some champagne and rum and cokes.

I went to bed at 8:45, lol. I was afraid the fireworks at the space needle would wake us all up, but they didn't...so I'll call that a win.

Today was a pretty rotten day at work, but we followed it up with a trip to the park when I got off. Eliza had a blast and it was really sunny and warm. Gotta love a touch of springtime on the first day of the year.

We went to a friend's house, and both kids (Dominic is the same age) took a late nap before dinner so they both played and ran around and jumped on the trampoline all evening. It was great!! We watched George Carlin DVDs (thankful that the kids are too young to pick up on anything yet!) and then counted down til Midnight. Kate and Dominic were wicked cute playing together, and while they were really tired by midnight we made them tough it out since it was so close, lol.

On the way home at 1 Kate fell asleep in the car and I carried her in the house, put her in the crib, and I don't think she ever woke up, lol. She was up at her normal time of just after 8am though. DH got up with her. But she took a 3 hour nap to make up for it.

Update....G slept til...NOON! Quarter after actually. He then carried on with the rest of the day as usual having a 2 1/2 hour nap and a normal bedtime. This made me feel like the luckiest mommy alive. He also went to bed with his dad so that I could start and finish my first sewing project since grade 7. My new carry on bag is complete!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that let their 1 year old stay up til midnight Nat!
