Does anyone else suffer from this? Apparently the definition is prolonged bleeding (more than 7 days), or heavy bleeding (more than 80mL/2.7oz over the whole period) during regular periods (every 26-35 days). I use a silicon menstrual cup since pads and tampons just can't keep up, so I know how much I have, and I have already had 90mL+ just today and it's only 3pm! It will probably continue like this through tomorrow then start slowing tomorrow night. Oh and my periods usually go on for ~10-12 days.

I also get nausea, occasionally throw up, horrible abdominal cramps, and it totally wipes me out. Some days I can barely function. Being on the pill levels me out, but we're trying to get pregnant now, so it's all out of control again.

I absolutely hate it. Has anyone else had experience with this? Is there any way I can make it better? Would a doc allow any kind of fertility meds in this type of circumstance? I've been off the pill about 3 months now, and I've had no signs of ovulation yet. The thought of however more months of this makes me want to cry...

I've had check ups before for it, and everything is normal, it's just been controlled previously by the pill, so I have no idea what to do when NOT on the pill.

Ugh....that's horrible!!! You definitely should see your doc though. I have no idea what they'd do for that, if there is anything, but they might help you get the ball rolling with some fertility stuff.

With my RA and having a tough time getting preggo with the twins, I saw my OB right before we started TTC because I was going to have to be off of my RA meds and we were trying to get me pregnant ASAP to avoid my RA getting majorly out of control. It was that appointment where I also found out that I had PCOS, which explained the tough time TTC previously. So anyways...he put me on Femara (very similar to Clomid) to get my cycles regulated and get me ovulating. The ovulation issues were due to the PCOS, but the Femara really just upped the odds of getting pregnant quickly (for the RA).

Your issues pretty much take the fun out of TTC though, if you are bleeding 1/3 of the month and feeling like death! I hope things happen quickly for you!!!

I have this issue...obviously I got pregnant anyway. When I was younger Red Raspberry really helped. Perhaps you could talk to a naturopath or herbalist though as there are several other options and I also don't know which are safe with pregnancy.
Good luck!
