So maybe it's because I'm supposed to be giving birth on Kate's birthday (give or take a week), so I'll probably be getting really distracted as the date draws near. But now that Christmas is over I'm itching to start planning Kate's birthday party. Is that crazy? Is that pregnancy hormones? Or are you feeling it too? (and if you are, any ideas yet?)

No, its only 4 months away! I am totally thinking about it. It might be more of the fact that I am going to have to start cleaning for it soon, lol.

I've kinda started thinking about it today actually. We will probably wait until Caitlyn gets here for the summer though in June and do their b-days together. She loves her little brother so much and I enjoyed doing their b-days together last year even though we had crappy weather. I want to do it outside again but will have an indoor place as a backup this time As far as themes etc go, Colton LOVES trains so maybe something along those line but NOT Thomas The Train lol But that could totally change between now and then.

I'm thinking about it, but I'm sure I won't actually do anything about it until last minute! I'm thinking I'll probably do a firetruck theme this year! The boy LOOOVES his firetrucks!

I haven't really thought about it... I'm probably going to keep it low-key this year and just invite our immediate families over (parents and sisters) to our house and bbq.

Haha I knew this would come up as soon as the holidays were over.
It's crossed my mind, but more in a holy-crap-my-kid-is-almost-TWO way. I'm keeping it low-key again this year. Cupcakes, park, family and close friends, no theme. We had fun last year (and we lucked out and got beautiful weather, which was rare last June) and it cost us almost nothing. Maybe we'll get crazy and decide on a different park, lol. There's one by Lake Washington that has a tiny beach, a huge playground and it's not very well-known so it's almost never crowded.

We aren't having a party this year. I'll be ginormously preggers and I hate parties. I'm still traumatized over the one year extravaganza! I'm taking advantage of the fact that she doesn't know the difference right now.

You're due on Kate's birthday?? Haha that's awesome :-p
I haven't really thought about it, but I was considering venues recently. I can either do something easy in the park again, or go to a really cool new kid-friendly cafe that opened recently and get them to do everything.

haha...I've been thinking about this since about Sept-Oct!! Since we are here and we're celebrating his birthday on the Mainland, I want to give myself enough time to plan for everything.
Nicely, his actual birthday fall on a Saturday and am down to 3 options: 1 - Disneyland, 2 - Petting zoo theme (I found a few outfits that bring mini petting zoo/pony rides to your location), or 3 - Just BBQ at the house/park with a jolly jumper. I'm leaning towards #2 but we'll see...with the new house, our budget is super tight! I know my parents & uncle will help but still, i dont want to break the bank!! =)
PS: Brooke - noticed your Weight Loss Ticker...fantastic job!! Cheers to you, your journey and continued success!

We have a nice little park in the next town over. It's got gazebos and stuff. I'm thinking a birthday in the park! I have some friends who have kids all around Xander's age so I'm going to try to get them together. If there will be a theme, it's gonna be Cars!!

You are doing an amazing job Brooke
As for the party. I hadn't thought about it at all until this thread was started.
I'm pretty sure I will plan a low key party at the house and then get all stressed out and carried away at the last minute. Cook all sorts of complicated things and do it all by myself. Just like every other woman in my crazy family. If I was to have a theme...G would probably pick tractors since it's his favourite word right now. It seems to refer to anything with tires bigger than an average car though.

Almost same exact thing here... Except we won't be at Lake Washington Isn't that one way North? Like by Everett? Am I thinking of something else?
We happen to live RIGHT across the street from a park so we will probably just be there... family only... no theme... home made cake. I prefer it that way!

Good Job Brooke!
As for C's birthday. We are doing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He's OBSESSED with Mickey and Donald. Last week I got all the stuff to make cute invitations with my Cricut cutter. Ironically I bought the Mickey mouse cartridge when I got it and had no idea why I bought it at the time. I have been buying things here and there to go with it to cut the "OMG" cost a week before. We plan on doing cupcakes for everyone but plan on letting C have his own little cake again. I don't know yet if I'm making it our if we'll buy one. For what to do, I have no idea yet.

I love how on top of things you are Nicole. I have no idea how you still do that with two little people now!
