What sort of things is your LO saying these days?
How do they start out with new words?
Patterns?
Until recently G has just basically repeated words until he had them figured out. This week he's started with a couple of letters/sounds and wants to say ALL THE WORDS that use those sounds. This week is FFFFF and SSSSS . So the Buong has finally become PHHHHHone and there is a lot of talk about feet, fingers, faces, falling etc. as well as socks, shoes, shows, sit and sad.
Is this how everyone else's people are doing it or is he weird on yet another level?
He also seems to be bigger on sentences all of a sudden which is making it much easier for people other than me to understand him.

Ashton still doesn't really talk, he has said the same words for the last 6 months (muma, dada, ry ry, nanna, granddad, bubba) and just as of the last week he has added the word nah.
The kid doesn't even babble, doesn't even attempt to talk and will only say one of his words when he really needs to.

C pretty much just has words that we know what he's saying. I'm sure next month he'll have a speech referral.

Mason also loves the "sssss" sounds. I've been working on numbers with him and he is fascinated with them, although all he wants to say is "SIX, SIX, SIX!!!" And then there's a lot of "up stairs", "down stairs" and "sissy".
And he's' big on animal sounds at the moment too. He cracks up laughing every time I bust out my big ol' MOOOOOOOOOOOO! And then along with that he also says "boo" a lot.
He jabbers all day long. I don't understand 60% of it, but he's a happy little talker.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the words Eliza picks up. Totally random. She'll just call something by name out of nowhere, and repeat it a whole bunch. Yesterday right when we woke up I put on Sesame Street and was stumbling around trying to get my coffee and I heard her saying something over and over. It took me a while to figure out what it was, then I turned around and it was Abby's Flying Fairy School and she was saying "Abby! Abby!"
She's actually doing that again right now. So cute.
No sentences yet other than, "Bye, Da!" which she says to anyone, every time someone leaves a room.
Talking is a lot like any other milestone she's worked on--she doesn't even try until she knows she's got it down. It blows my mind because when she does decide to say a word, it's clear and perfectly pronounced. No clumsy babble for this girl. Kids are so funny.

I told my sister about his new speech events this morning...she feels he's winding up for a lot of good F & S words...or the swearing kind. It is interesting he wanted those two at the same time.

Uhh, I dunno. She seems to just pick up anything. And when she has a new word she repeats it all the time. The other day she was running around shouting "Up! Down! Up! Down!" (not new words separately, but Elmo had been talking about up and down, and apparently that was exciting).
No sentences here, she doesn't put two words together. Just a lot of single words. All the time. some don't make sense.

^ That reminds me. G LOVES the song on Sesame Street that goes "stand up, sit down, stand up sit down...come on sit down next to me...would you like a cup of tea" He gets far too excited about it...it's stuck in my head now.
I think I just happened to ask this during a language explosion for G. He's still stumbly and uncoordinated with his feet sometimes but he can chat...wonder who he got that from?

Vaughn is also totally random! He baby babbles all day long along with clear words mixed in...i seem to be the only one who knows what he's saying otherwise. I'm constantly telling Josh "hey, Vaughn just told you ____" and he's like "he did? that's what he said?"
He's definitely trying all different sounding words now. He gets down tone and rhythm of a word/phrase first, then eventually works it out clearly so to the point others besides me can understand him. The thing is he's not consistent at all. Once he learns a word, it doesn't mean he's going to use it all the time now. His latest is yogurt, right now it sounds like lo-lurt or wo-wurt. But he still says "num-num" for food in general. My other fav is "uh-oh, spaghettio!" He says "uh-oh, wa-wear-ro" But I'm not worried yet about him not being a clear speaking chatty cathy, slowly but surely his vocab is building.
Oh, and he barks. He just picked that up the other night while watching Dog Whisperer =) Now he sees a dog (real or picture) and barks/howls. He makes the Rawrrrrrr, sound when he sees his dinosaur book, and does other various barnyard animals sounds.

^^ That's one thing Eliza is very consistent with. Sister can rock the animal sounds like no other! Dog, cat, sheep, elephant, chicken, duck, pig, cow, bear, lion...she owns it! Lol.

My child does not talk. But I realized from reading this that we never watch the real Seasame Street... we watch Sprout which has Play With Me Seasame and maybe old episodes of SS.

G is consistent with ducks, kitty cats, dogs, monsters, monkeys, snakes, and elephants, but everything else is a sometimes. Funny how they're all so different.

Keeg is random in what he says and how he says it. He's got a lot of animal sounds down and loves to howl like a wolf most of all. He says quite a few 2-3 word sentences and his newest thing is "stah be me" which means stop being mean Every time we tell him no or get down he says stop being mean, last night I noticed he said "I got it" while throwing/kicking the ball so he's getting a few sentences that relate to whatever we're doing. I can't wait to see how much he's saying in the next 3-4 months, around 2 is when language just explodes for a lot of kids.

AB is a real talker. (imagine that ) She's on to sentences and is actually pretty clear. She has a hard time with F and R - so some of it's pretty funny. Er = Sh so 'The other one' is 'ash' but is really sounds like a**. LOL. She's also trying to count and do her ABCs. "1,2,3,4,4,8,9, TEN!!!!!!!!!!!!" "ABCBD H Q W Y Y Y Y Y Y YAY!!!!" and she tries to sing songs like twinkle twinkle little star. It's pretty funny too. The only part I really get is "star/ up, up up" for 'up above'

Ellie talks a ton! She has so many new words this month. She's recently become obsessed with boobs (no clue why?) and she calls them "bups" She will point to mine and say "bups." DH thought it was hilarious until she did it in front of his mom yesterday. My other new favorite is that she says excuse me, but only to our dog Baci (pronounced bah-chi), not to our other dogs or any people. She will walk past him over and over just so she can say excuse me. It comes out "uh-may Ba-ha." I think it's cute, but Baci does not because she says it but doesn't wait for him to move and just steps on him anyway.

Karlee is really exploding verbally now. We are learning 3-4 words a day now and the other day when Darron pointed to a ball she said "you get it"?! It is weird but she won't do animal sounds. The only one she will do is MOOOO. We have dogs that back all day but I can't get my kid to do it!
