Are you doing any classes with your little person?
Any classes coming up in the future?
Any classes you've taken already that you'd recommend or recommend we not take?

We're not doing anything right now. The only organized thing we've really done was SalsaTots. I've actually considered doing it again with him because he's a serious music lover and I think he'd get even more out of it now. Other than that we just do it all on our own.

We did swim classes last summer - LOVED them! I will try to do them every summer

We also did a "Living and Learning With Your Baby" but I didn't like it at all. The concept was awesome but it was filled with snoody *****es and I wanted to quit a lot earlier than I did. I stayed a few extra weeks because Violet liked the singing.

I have tried to to the storytime at the library but, alas, neither Violet or myself is a natural early bird. It's too rushy for us to be ther so I skip it.

Classes are fun! Most places will let you sample one to make sure you are a good fit.

We haven't done a thing! I'm not big on stuff like that for some reason. Maybe if I just had one child and needed some interaction for them, but with three kiddos, I feel like I've got plenty of interaction going on here! TOO much! Lol.

We did a free Gymboree class. It was fun for Claire and the structure was actually something that she would be able to follow. We just cant afford to put her in anything that is $65 a month and more. I am planning on taking her to swimming lessons when it gets warmer here.

We are currently doing a swim class. Juliet likes it, but the chlorine is really rough on her skin I probably will skip the next session, but maybe sign up for the one after that. Or we can just figure out the open swim time and take her ourselves every other week or so.

We did a trial gymboree class and Juliet loved it, but it costs way too much to do regularly.

I looked into some gymnastics gyms and might sign her up for the toddler class at some point.

The library has storytimes Saturday morning, every other week I think, but we haven't made it lately because of swim class.

It's kind of a catch 22... I love having the organized class for her, but of course, once we're in it, other things come up I'd like to do that I have to miss because of the class (a couple playdates with a local moms group I'm trying to get involved with). But I'm sure once we stop the class, there won't be anything going on, just because that's how it seems to always work out!

We dont really have much around here in the way of kids classes. We have done several sessions of swim lessons and we are supposed to start another session tonight.

I haven't looked into anything for Mark yet. Saturdays would be our only option, and we always seem to have something going on. When he's older, we'll be doing Greek classes, but not sure how we'll fit it in at this point.

Except for swimming class I do all of this for the socialazion. If had had another kiddo or two I would definitely feel better about skipping them. She has NO KIDS that she is able to interact with on a regular basis.

I have literally put an ad on Craigslist trying to find a mommy in need of a few hours a week off so Violet can hang out with another child!

Plus, like you said... too much!

I do enjoy our freedom right now with not having a lot of time commitments. My nieces are 3, 5, & 7 and the eldest one has dance 800 times a week and then ski lessons on the weekend. Her schedule alone overwhelms me and I don't know how my sister does it. I don't want that but know that one day, G just might be into a lot of stuff.

Today when we were at the pool swimming with my mom and nieces I saw the open toddler gym time was on. I think we'll try to start hitting that up this week as it looks like activities he'd love to do and most of the kids were about his age too. Plus...no commitment...not that I have a problem with that How long have I been engaged during this 14 year relationship?

I used to take M to music classes religiously as a toddler. I'm sure C would love them too, but our schedule is so tough! Have to get M off to school by 8, then he likes to lounge and eat a leisurely breakfast. Down for nap by 11 then up at 1, and have to pick M up at 2:20. I feel like I don't have as much time available to get him out and about during the day like I used to with M. Mommy guilt!!

Weekends are dominated by her dance classes on saturdays, and sundays I teach riding lessons so I'm not home.

Hoping to get him involved in more this summer when we aren't tied to M's school schedule. I think he would love swim class especially.

I hear you on the schedule!! Avery and Jack wake up at 7, Mason sleeps until 9 or 10 (yay...hehe), then the kids are off to school at 11:30, Mason goes down for a nap ASAP after that, then he wakes up, kids back from school and by then there's not much time for anything else!

Maybe I'm not so big on this activity thing because I've never only had one kiddo. That just dawned on me (the reason for lack of formal socializing, not the fact that I had twins...lol)! I've only ever known life with at least 2 kids, and I've never had to worry about socialization. Twins = built in buddy/terrorist.

With Mark being in daycare 5 days a week, I also feel he gets alot of socialization there too so right now I don't feel guilty about not trying to fit classes in. This summer though he's typically the only full time LO at daycare, I may look into some classes and/or start trying to meet up with Erin & Rebecca more regularly for some playdates.
