What have you read? What have you found helpful?

Juliet is starting to develop a temper, daycare says it's terrible 2s starting. Either way I need strategies for keeping it in check!

I read 1-2-3 Magic. Now I'm onto another book but I can't remember the name offhand.

I'm lucky in that I haven't had to think about this too much yet. Keeping my fingers crossed that my kid continue to be pretty mild-mannered. But stalking this thread for ideas for when the time comes!

Our pediatrician recommends 1-2-3- Toddler Magic and we're waiting for the course to be reoffered next month. In the mean time I plan to pick up Happiest Toddler on the Block even though I haven't heard it recommended as highly as their first book. For now I just try really hard to get him to say "help mama" or "please mama" when he starts whining or freaking out and it seems to be helping a lot.

I don't think I've ever read a book on toddler discipline! I've done some research online on how to discipline an autistic child, because that's a whole different ballgame, but other than that, I pretty much just go with my gut instinct and pray that it works!

I looked up 1-2-3 Magic and Happiest Toddler and (well, yesterday) they are both available at the library. I just have to get there...

My friend gave me her copy of 1-2-3 magic and I read it but haven't tried implimenting it yet. E's tantrums are short and mild and she still responds really well to simple distraction. We have also gotten her to the point where she may whine a little but she will at least also say please and point or say what she wants if we prompt her.
