Rachel was like that at first. I put some of her favorite books by the potty so she could look at them when she goes potty. When she starts peeing in the potty I made a big celebration over it. If He gets lots of attention for going potty then he will do it more to get that attention. And do not bring out diapers or pullups. Do not give him the choice. Rachel will pee in a pullup if given the chance. Undies give them the feeling of being wet and he will learn to stay dry.

Is it just u trying to potty train him or is there a man who can help him? some boys just respond better to males when they are potty training. dunno if that'll help. Stickers didnt' always work with my daughter, It was a matter of whether or not she FELT like doing it. Eventually I took away her choice and made it known that she had to.

I meant doing them standing. A boy in DD's daycare did just that: he'd never been on a potty, but at 3.5 started going to the toilet "like daddy". It could be fun, you know.

Out of curiosity, have you tried giving him privacy? I know with my daughter she demanded privacy and she would only pee or poop on the potty if I gave her some privacy.

This may sound weird but my mom was talking about potty training the other day and with my brother she made it a game. She had him stand in front of the toilot and put a couple cherrios in the water and told him to try to pee on the cheerios to sink them. My first thought was eewww but then if it worked for Mom then maybe it will work for you.
