Frederick's pediatrician said to start giving him the cotton trainers at night and during the day to get him pt. Has anyone had success with telling their LO that the diapers went away/all gone and now its time for 'big girl/boy' underwear?

I wasn't going to do that but with him knowing he can 'pee' in the pull ups without consquence he goes back and forth with using the potty or peeing in those. Same with pooing.

I found out he has to be pt to go into the 3 year old classroom for daycare/summer camp by May/June.

We have only had success with my son when he is not wearing anything. Even if he has big boy underwear, he'll still go in them. But if he's nude on the bottom, then he will sit in on his potty. We are just finding this out now, so I don't know how long this will work.

Thats what I think will probably happen too. Im guessing though, eventually, he's going to hate getting peed on and will quit doing it?

I would hope so, but if he's anything like my son... I swear that boy wouldn't ever get his diaper changed if I didn't tell him it was time.

LOL. I'll just have to hope and try. I only have a few months. I don't know what else to do. I don't want to 'reward' going on the potty with treats and things because then he won't pee at his preschool since they won't give him treats.

Any tips?

Try a sticker chart at home. We will put a chart up in the bathroom and if they go potty he can put a sticker on the chart. Usually after she reaches a goal we set for her for stickers then her reward is to pick out a meal that she likes. She loves it when she gets to pick out what she wants to eat.
