When your kids first potty trained and they were in daycare, did the teachers wipe your child?
My daughter is 2 1/2 yrs old and has been trained for a couple months. Her teachers do not wipe her. I had to ask them to wipe after a bowel movement too. She was only 2 1/4, not 10 yrs old. I can understand the teachers wanting them independent in the 3 yr old classroom, but I think the 2 yr old classroom needs it more.
My kids wipe themselves, even at a young age. I taught them to call for help if they poop. The teachers do it the same way. They won't go in after the kids unless the kids ask for help. I do find it kind of gross if they don't help and there was a BM. When I babysat, I never went in after the kids at all, if their parents said they were potty trained. I'd tell the kids to call me and if they needed help, I'd help them. Otherwise, I let them have their privacy. I did always double-check if they pooped just in case they didn't wipe well enough.
