Yes, I have one of THOSE kids. DD is 2.9 and has been using the potty since around 16 months. She does great going pee. She'll use any potty, even figured out how to hold herself up and use a regular toilet and thoroughly enjoys it. however we have not been so successful with Poo. She would go in her pull up/panties or tell us "i'm pooping" but never a beforehand thing. Now she's taken to not only pooing on her floor but PLAYING in it!! I have tried everything I can think of.
She has a small potty in her room to go in (which she will pee in!)
We talk about where poo goes "in the potty"
we repeat "we do not touch poo" we talk about it.

I check on her every few minutes but it seems like in a matter of seconds the pants are off and poo is smeared in her room
When she poos on the floor (or takes the poo out of the pullup to play with it) She helps me clean it, talking about how we don't touch poo, poo is yucky and belongs in the potty. We put the 'mess' in the toilet to show her where it *should* go.
She's had to say goodbye to toys because they were covered in poo. I've had to throw away a few even. And she's sad about it at the time and when I ask her what we need to do she'll tell me "poo goes in the potty!" So she "understands" what she is *supposed* to do, but I can't get her to stop pooing on the floor and playing in it!!

I just have no idea what to try next and I'm really at the end of my rope disinfecting her room daily! Any ideas?????

My son did it. It seems pretty normal. I told my MIL she told me my husband did it. So I blame him. Haha Don't push. I pushed about #2 and my son rebelled every step of the way.
