Hello,

My DD Hannah is 3 and will sit on the toilet when she needs to go but she only will do it if she's wearing a diaper. She just sits there and does her thing fully diapered and only untapes it to wipe. If I take it off she just won't go until she's diapered again. She's very good at always wiping, flushing, and washing her hands. She just comes to me after she's done to get a new diaper with a surprisingly clean bottom (I'm not nearly as good cleaning her up). I haven't been able to get her interested in undies or pull-ups. Any ideas?

Have you tried just cutting out the diapers all together? She clearly has no problem doing what she is supposed to while on the potty - even in a diaper. Sometimes you've gotta push the undies thing and then praise her for what a big girl she is wearing them. Kids usually don't like the feel of pee all over them in undies and they are more likely to start using the potty at that point. She's at a perfect age where she should understand, just sounds like she wants to do things her way

Do you have a kid seat over the toilet ? Also, have her pick out some big girl panties as she seems to want to be in choice at what she wears and some girls are so proud of wearing them they don't want to wreck them that use the potty more other girls along with boys when they get wet they don't like that feeling.

As their will be accidents for them which I would suggest keeping them in regular undies,waterproof cover for bed, and at least 3 pairs of pants,3 undies if your going out along with a grocery bag put all that in a backpack so if any accidents wet clothes into grocery bag with getting the dry clothes out to wear.

I think she is used to it in the diaper, but this not an good habit. But i have seen an similar case, and according to that she will quit that as she grows up..
