I didn't at first cuz she was only 15 months old, so we did the "yay you did it" but then dropped it. Now at 21 months old I celebrate with her. She still doesn't go very often and we don't push it yet, she does not have full control
We have a sticker chart. Every time he pees he gets 1 sticker and 2 stickers every time he poops.(that needed extra encouragment) Once he fills up a row with stickers he gets to go to the dollar store and pick something out. We told him once he fills up the entire chart that he can go and get a big present because we won't have to spend the money on diapers any more.
We also make it a big deal every time he goes. We give him hugs and tell him how happy and proud of him we are.
