For some reason, he will not go on the potty! We can sit him in there for an hour with books and toys and then the minute he gets a diaper or pull up on, he'll go in that! He has gone 2 times on the potty and both times we took him out to get a treat for going and made a huge deal out of it.

Are we doing something wrong? He keeps telling me when the new baby comes he will wear underwear and go on the big potty.

HUGS!!!

My almost 5 yr old was trained at 3.5 yrs old. I waited until he was ready. Potty training was easy with him.. Because he wanted to go, he hardly had accidents.

I know it is hard, but just give him time!!!!

See, that's what I have always heard - wait until their ready and don't force it because it will be harder. Thanks for the encouragement!

Are you a SAHM? If so a friend of mine that was said that she put the little potty chair in the living room and allowed him to play most all the time in just his undies or in undies and a tshirt that way that he would see that it was there and not forget.

Another thing that another friend tried was letting her little boy pee off the porch. He then wanted to do that in a potty.

What worked for me was the cherrios in the potty. Zane wanted to pee on them like he was sinking a battle ship.
