I'm going crazy here! He's officially "potty" trained, has been for about 4 weeks. But he will not poop on the potty. I try to take him around the same time every day (right before naptime) because he always goes during his nap. He cries that he wants a diaper. I make him sit there for a while before I let him down. The other day I caught him hiding behind the hair, pooping. I took him to the bathroom and he finished on the toilet. His sippy cup is his "lovey," so today I told him he doesn't get it until he poops on the potty. Didn't work Any advice?

Courtney was the same way, this is why I nap time and night time trained at the same time I daytime, cuz I realized it was the only way I'd get her to poop on the potty. So she constipated herself (which isn't exactly uncommon) and we had to work through that, but about 2 weeks after I ditched the nap and night time diapers, she was fully potty trained, 24 hours a day.

how do they constipate themselves? Because Matthew IS constipated. He has been for 3-4 days. So when you say that you nap and nighttime trained at the same time you day time trained, you just ditched the diapers completely? I had him naked fora few hours tonight hoping that he would go to the potty if he had to poop. He grabbed a diaper and wanted me to put it on him We laid him down to bed tonight and about 5 minutes later he came out and said he had to poop-he did, but just a few rabbit turds lol
