I've always heard not to use hot tubs or saunas, but I didn't think about showers. I know a normal shower would be fine, but I have a steam attachment on mine that I turn on for a couple of minutes. I took my temp last night a couple of minutes after I got out and it was about 99.7 degrees. I'm totally paranoid now that I've caused some sort of neural tube defect since I take long, hot showers every day.
I took a piping hot shower every single day of my pregnancy. I also laid in the tub on a regular basis. Whenever I didn't feel Brylie move for too long (kick counts helped me realize she didn't move every 11th day) my midwife would tell me to lay in a hot tub and drink juice. As long as your body temperature doesn't stay too high too long, you should be fine.
