Tuesday

No questions in particular--probably just ask about setting up the anatomy U/S and if they want me to do the glucose test early again this pregnancy

It's coming up quick! How early did they have you do the glucose test last time?

My next appointment is in 2 weeks. I'll be 24 weeks, and we'll be talking about scheduling a tour of the birth center so FIL & MIL can go with us to see it (they are worried).

Thursday (April 14th). I go every week now. I'm 36 weeks pregnant.

Some questions would be like how much longer they are going to keep me pregnant because I'm measuring 41 weeks as of yesterday. Am I possibly leaking fluid? What was my results from my GBS test? What does smelly urine and/or discharge mean? (which by the way, I have just submitted that question on this board so if ANYONE has any answers on that one, please share).

I'm surprised they haven't given you the results of the GBS test yet. When was it done? Did they say anything about why you are measuring larger? Did it happen all at once or have you been measuring larger throughout?

I got the GBS test done on the 7th. So, I'm pretty sure if I have it, they'll call before next week, if not, then I probably don't have it.

My doctor doesn't understand why I'm measuring so large. I didn't start measuring large until the end of January. It was like all of a sudden I was measuring between 2-5 weeks ahead. I'm negative for gestational diabetes, and I'm showing no signs for pre-eclampsia (which I had with my 1st daughter) and my protien levels in my urine have been at a trace the entire pregnancy. I've had about 3 ultrasounds within the last 2 months, checking measurements. At my last ultrasound, I was measuring around 37 weeks (I was technically 34) and she was already weighing 7.3 lbs. My doctor is strongly suggesting that I deliver at least a week early, but the final decision will be made within the next 2 weeks. I'm hoping I go soon because I have tons of pressure in my pubic area and lower back. Its hard to walk and stand for long periods of time, and its starting to get hard to sit in certain positions.

I took the GD tests around twenty weeks last time--I was considered higher risk because I was on Metformin for insulin resistance when I conceived. I did have it but was able to control through diet/exercise for a long time--needed a little insulin towards the end but not too much

20 weeks isn't so bad, I suppose. Some of the ladies in my DDC had the tests done in the first trimester, and that was something I hadn't heard of before. It definitely makes sense why they were testing you early, though.

ProudMommy - I hope you get some answers soon!
