I never felt flutters, more like tiny punches. I felt my first when I was about 17 weeks or so. I also had an anterior placenta, so maybe that was why I only feel kicks? I still never feel flutters or rolling... Oh well, doc says it is healthy!

If you don't feel kicks early on, don't get too worried. FTM don't usually feel them until nearly 22 weeks.

It depends on you body type and where the placenta is. First time moms usually feel it around 22 wks....I was about 18.

Usually any movement felt before 28 weeks is considered "early". 28 weeks is when we definitely expect to feel movement and start to count kicks. With my first, I felt movement around week 15, with my second I felt movement around week 13. It definitely depends on your body type, your uterus (if it is tilted, you may not feel movements as much), and the position of the placenta.

With my first it was about 20 weeks before I felt flutters that I thought might be baby. It was exciting . With each pregnancy it has gotten earlier. This one I was a bit delayed because the placenta is in front of the baby so it made it harder to feel. Now at 21 weeks there is no doubt . Everyone is different and every baby is different.

I felt what I think was flutters somewhere around 16 weeks, but they were very light and hard to tell. I know FOR SURE we felt them at 20 weeks 4 days (bf was able to feel them too).

I never had the "flutters", what I felt was just tiny kicks/punches. I was waiting on the "butterflys" feeling, and I never had that.

But anyways, I felt mine around 21 weeks. I was freaking out because I couldn't feel anything as soon as my friends did with theirs. But he sure makes up for it now, being 30 weeks, he feels like a boxer in there!

Some feel flutters at the end of the first trimester, some don't feel them until the middle of the second trimester. It can depend on where the placenta is located as well as how your uterus is shaped.

Prayingtobeamommy - have you felt flutters yet?

I felt some around 16 weeks but wasnt to sure, then at 17 weeks it was stronger and more frequent. I knew it was baby then. This is my first and I have a posterior placenta.

I started feeling the baby around week 24 as I have an anterior placenta. Anterior placentas are common.
