I'm almost 14 weeks along and I am in quite a bit of pain everyday. It hurts to walk, turn over in bed, sit, stand for more than a minute, and every time I move around in bed my hips pop really badly. I spoke with my doctor about this earlier this week and she really didn't think much of it. She said that my body was just trying to rearrange itself for the baby and that she didn't think I would benefit from a pregnancy belt or girdle. But the pain is terrible! I have only left the house three times in the last two weeks due to not being able to walk without horrible pain in my hips and legs. I have no idea what to do. And it doesn't help that due to the pain I can't seem to get a decent nights sleep. I was hoping that maybe someone else out there is, or has gone through a similar situation and would have some tips for dealing with this problem. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have pelvic girdle pain . Bella Bands, lavendar warm packs , maybe even seeing a chiropractor that does pregnancy massages.

I would go to a chiropracter if I were you! My chiropractor also specializes in Webster's technique, which is especially for pregnant women. If your insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care, you can always talk to the office first to see if they can help out with payment arrangements. This is pretty normal because not all insurance companies do cover them.

I would also probably try the pregnancy belt to see if it helps. A lot of times the doctors we see assume we are making a big deal of pain that isn't a big deal. But it wouldn't hurt to try a Bella band or something to see if it does help.

Thanks so much! I'll give all those things a try. I have to do something - it's driving me nuts.
