I am 7 weeks along with my very first! I haven't told anyone but hubby yet so naturally I have a billion unanswered questions. Would love it if anyone could chime in! First, is it normal for my morning sickness to be so terrible so early? I have only actually thrown up a few times but I constantly feel sick to my stomach no matter what I do! Also eating has been difficult because it seems like all the foods I used to love gross me out now. I have always been a huge fan of chicken but now even the thought of it makes me gag. It seems like the only things I can stomach are peanut butter sandwiches and deli turkey. Is this normal? It has been a rough road so far...most nights I feel so awful that I lie in a fetal position until I fall asleep. Hubby is distraught because nothing we do makes me feel any better. I guess I just want someone to tell me that this is normal and it will get better.

It is normal and it may get worse before it gets better. Try some ginger slices from the fridge area they are so much better and easier to eat than the counter ones, coke syrup and if you have throw up a lot tell your doctor to see if he will prescribe you some medicine

It will get better! Eat whatever sounds good! I was always a big chicken eater too and haven't had any except for a few pieces of fried chicken! My hubby has learned that whatever I want I need to get Definitely not used to that!!

Congrats on your pregnancy! Sorry for your morning sickness though. Some women have it bad for just a few weeks, some have it for the whole 9 months. Some have it mildly on and off.

Keep crackers by your bedside and have a few before you get up. Ginger is great for the upset tummy! They have ginger soda and sugared ginger candies and lots of other stuff.

Also, when eating deli meats you should really heat the meat up briefly, as lots of deli meats are smoked, not cooked, and they can contain harmful to baby bacteria.

I was going through the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I was eating Saltines and Cheerios just to make it through the day. I've also become grossed out by Ginger Ale. Just the thought of it reminds me of feeling sick.

Yes that can be normal. Morning sickness is part of the hormonal process during pregnancy, and it will effect everyone differently. A lot of times during pregnancy you'll crave what your body needs. So you're in the mood for PB and turkey, both are packed with protein and that is probably something your body needs right now, especially if you're thowing up. It is normally advised to not eat deli meat cold, so I would advise you to heat it up on a pan and then putting it in your sandwhich, or limit your cold deli meat to once a week.

Ginger, crackers, things that are mild can help. Lots of water too. Preggie Pops makes a morning sickness candy that helped me.
