I just had my 2nd trimester ultrasound scan yesterday, 19 weeks, and was happy to see my baby and find out that it's a boy ! The lady doing the scan said that everything looked perfect, the baby's growth, heart rate, organs, and everything and he was moving a lot, I feel him move all the time he's very active! She also said that my first trimester scan and blood work came back perfectly normal so I was happy about that too! But then she told me that she saw a small cyst/blister on the side of my baby's brain and that scared me a lot..she said that it's 99% nothing, but 1% could be an abnormality..It just made me really upset..Has anyone else had this experience??
Thanks!!

It is pretty common for babies during development have a cyst on the brain and it nearly always disappears .

They found one on my baby at about 20 weeks. He is fine. But it scared me too.

My son had one on each side of his brain at his 18 week scan, had another scan done at 31 weeks and both were gone. It is actually fairly common and most go away by the 3rd Trimester. I really wouldn't worry since you had the genetic screening and scan done and it came back fine.
