Do any of you/have any of you ladies gone camping while pregnant? The reason I ask is because I just had a fire in the firepit in the backyard and as I was sitting there with dh I started wondering if I was harming my baby!! (i'm almost 7 weeks) I know it sounds silly but the things that cross your mind during a first time pregnancy is crazy. We don't have fire's all the time..just every now and then in the summer...
You're fine. The issue with going camping isn't the smoke, it is the change in altitude. During the third trimester you don't want to change altitudes over 1,000 feet because you could get altitude sickness that could send you into labor.
Second trimester camping is fine. And a marshmallow roasting in your back yard is fine, too!
