I'm sorry if this question is in the wrong place but I searched for a section it would fit into. I was wondering if any of you ladies know if the majority of insurance companies will cover maternity? My husband hopefully will get a job in a few months (he's a full time student right now, long story lol) but was wondering with him getting a new job if he got us on new insurance will maternity usually be covered?

Under HIPPA, pregnancy is not considered a pre-existing condition. Therefore, as long as your husband has a decent policy, the insurance company can't discrimate againt you because you have a pre-exisiting condition (pregnancy). Not all pre-exisiting conditions are covered but pregancy is not only for the insured but for all dependants. The exact amount covered will vary by policy.

Google "HIPPA Pre-Existing Conditions" for facts.

Best of luck!
