I had blood drawn on Tuesday at 4:15pm and my hcg came back at 454, I was 4w 5d...I had my second draw yesterday at 12:15pm and that came back at 588. My docs want me to go back on Monday as they are concernced that the number didn't double. The nurse said I should have at least come back in the 800s....

Now the number is still in the 5 week range but the range is so huge and the increase was only a little over 100....

Am I headed for a miscarriage again? Anyone start off slow and still have a successful, healthy pregnancy?

TIA!!!

Monday's levels were only 824. I went for a transvaginal u/s yesterday and the dr said there was a small sac.....which he didn't think he should see with my levels being what they were, so he was telling me this will likely lead into a miscarriage. But when he realized my levels were last taken on Monday, he sent me for more blood work yesterday and I have an appointment at 2pm this afternoon to find out the results and see where to go from here....he is wondering now if they were still rising since you shouldn't see a sac with levels under 1000....so I am still in limbo land.

I just O/T that I see you are from Bolivia. My DH was born in La Paz!

I would say don't rush into any quick decisions as your hcg is still rising and a gestation sac appeared.

I'm sorry you are going through this

I miscarried a couple of times and had an ectopic before getting pregnant with our second son and I read this article which is quite interesting.

Secondary recurrent miscarriage and H-Y immunity

O/T I'm actually from Denmark but moved to Bolivia almost 6 years ago Have you ever visited?
