I have to go in and get the 3 hour glucose tolerance test tomorrow. I'm a little confused about the procedure of the test...do I drink the glucose drink once for the entire test, or once every hour for 3 hours? Is the glucose drink different from what I had in the 1 hour test? Or is there more of the drink?
I'm really nervous...I got through the 1 hour test perfectly fine but I didn't need to fast for that. I'm super scared the 3 hour test is going to make me nauseous or vomit. My doctor did say to take my Zofran before going in for the test if I wanted, so I'm gonna do that...still really nervous though. :-(

You only drink the drink once but it has more glucose in it and you have to get your blood taken 4 times. I have also heard of the jellybean test where you have to eat 28 jelly beans which is equal to 50-g of the glucose drink.
