I think I might be pregnant and know I should get tested to be sure, but I'm a little hesitant right now because I have so many questions.
First off, I have not been trying to get pregnant, so I have no prior knowledge of the process of being pregnant. My last period started between June 4-5 (I don't track these things). On June 26/27, my breasts started to swell and become sore (usually, a sign of impending menses for me). Then, I had unprotected sex on June 29 (completely unplanned with a friend; he came outside of me several times, but it was his first time having sex so I don't know if he pulled out before the pre-ejaculation).
The days following, my breasts swelled even more and continue to be sore. I have a regular 28 day cycle and was expecting my period on July 1-2. No signs of my period coming. I have nausea throughout the day, mostly after eating, but no vomiting. But, it also comes in the mornings when I awake and sit up in bed. Abdominal cramps, but faint and sporadic. A lot of gas. No spotting/signs of any bleeding. Extreme fatigue.
I'm not sure how many DPO I am (I see this correlated with taking a test a lot so now I am thinking I should know this). I don't know when I should take a test.
I am confused because I don't know if I was even fertile when I had sex. Also, I don't know if he actually injected any semen into me. I was wondering if I could be pregnant (again, I know I should take a test to find out, but I'm scared right now).
Thank you for any insight anybody might have for me!
Anytime you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is going to be a possible outcome! The pull out method, although works for some people, doesn't always work for all.
The best way to find out for sure would be to start with an at home pregnancy test, and if positive, schedule an appointment with your doctor to do a follow up bloodtest/ultrasound. If negative, wait a few more weeks and if you still don't get your period then test again. Either way, if you end up being over a month late with your period you should go see the doctor anyway to see whats up.
