The only times I have ever been sick enough to actually throw up is when I've taken a prenatal pill. My doctor said to try kids chewables and they're just as bad! I rarely throw up, so when I do, it's bad...

does anyone else have this problem?

I did-
I take the prima care am & pm pills--
they just told me I could take them both at the same time, whenever I wasnt throwing up, lol
I ended up taking mine right before laying down at night
I still take them like that too, although they have a vanilla like flavor to them so they arent too bad anymore

good luck with yours.

I had the same problem with all of my pregnancies. I tried the children's chewables and they didn't stay down either. I eventually stopped taking them and just tried to eat a wide variety of foods per my Dr's advice. I hope you are feeling better soon!

With my first I took the prenatals but with my last 3 babies, I didn't take the prenatal vitamins, just folic acid once a day. My OB was fine with that decision as long as my iron level didn't get low.

I'm almost fourty weeks and mine still make me sick to the point of throwing up. I can take childrens gummie vitamins, but I have to spread them throughout the day.

So how do you know if it's the vitamins making you sick? I was just wondering the other day f my sickness is due to the pills.

Try not taking them for a day... It may be that you need to switch brands or switch to a childrens vitamin. I tried three brands of prenatals and three different childrens brands before I found one that worked for me.

I did do this! Yes, I felt a lot better. Still nauseous at times but a lot lot better. The past couple days I have taking a prenatal one night, then not the other. But I'm still sick on the day after I take it! What type of childrens vitamin?? Do they have near the amount of vitamins one needs during pregnancy?
