i just found out on Friday (march 2nd) that i am pregnant.
i am excited for my baby, but the morning sickness is too much to bear! i am terrified of throwing up, and havent yet, just dry heaves. but i am gaggy every minute i am awake. i cant even stand to look at food. but when i eat i am ok...also, i cant even think about smoking ( i know its bad, im cutting back) every time i even look at one i gag.
i dont think i can handle it. will it ever go away? is there anything i can do to lessen it?
Well sweetie, brace yourself. It may go away within weeks, it may not go away until you deliver. It all depends on your body and how it handles being pregnant. The good thing is that you are not vomiting. As long as you can keep food down, you are okay. If you start vomiting severely and are unable to eat and drink, you need to see your doc about it and get some help. There are some great meds out there such as phenergan and zofran to help with the nausea. Good luck!
Awwww Congrats! I went through it for 3 1/2 months. And I promise you it does get better. Sometimes it's longer for some people. It just depends on your body. There are certain types of foods you can eat to make you feel better. But remember it's all worth it at the end. And also try and stay as postive as you can. here is something I can give you to make you feel better:

Yup I was severely ill for the first 3 1/2 months of my pregnancy. I've been puke free (except for a few toothpaste incidents) for 2 weeks now and it's fabulous. I never thought I'd say it but I can barely remember the agony I went through.... until 3rd trimester hits and then I'll let you know. =P
