I have had m/s for only two weeks (starting #3) but this second week shocked me. I have been so ill. It had started only in the evening, but now it lasts all day long. I worry about leaving my desk at work (it's a new job). I even called in today. I considered sitting in the ER but the thought makes me ill. All the smells and the waiting , I don't know if I could handle it. I have been sobbing all day because of it. My husband is bringing me sea bands now and I have tried ginger tea (was warned that it might be harmful) and peppermint tea, small meals, etc. But nothing has worked! I worry about the lack of nutrition for my baby and yet I worry about taking any medication as well. I know this is all supposed to be a good sign that things are going well, but it is really starting to interrupt my daily routine. I am actually a little worried about keeping my job.

Any comments or suggestions are most welcome.

It's fun isn't it?
For awhile I could control it by eating as soon as I got hungry. Between 8-2 that meant eating every hour or more. With my last pregnancy they gave me meds because I was getting dehydrated. When I got sick towards the end of the pregnancy one doc suggested drinking 1/3 Gatorade 1/3 Sprite and 1/3 ice and I was allowed to add a dramimine(sp?) tablet to it. I found that most of the time the drink without the meds did the trick.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.
