I think my sister is putting it on our baby shower announcement but otherwise I dont say anything unless I am specifically asked where I registered. I dont want to make anyone feel like the HAVE to buy or get me a gift. If they want to, great! If not, thats great too!

I don't think there's anything wrong with posting the link of FB. I received a baby shower invitation a couple of years ago, and 3 cards saying where they were registered fell out, plus a note that anyone who brought Huggies brand diapers would be entered into a raffle... that one I didn't like.

To be honest, I have no idea what was put in the invitations for my baby shower with Dalton, but I never got those little cards to put in that say where you are registered. I told people if they asked, but that was it.

That does seem tacky, holding a drawing if you bring a certain brand of diapers...

I dont see anything wrong with linking on facebook or telling people in the save the date invites.

In the end I found out that they didn't really mean Huggies, just diapers in general. I usually always make a diaper cake to take as a gift to a shower, and when they told me to enter the drawing, I told them no that I didn't bring the right brand. They made me enter anyway. The girl's mom fixed the drawing so that I would win the raffle It was sweet, but seriously - people think a lot more work goes into diaper cakes and baby sock rosettes than really do!

I've never had a save the date invite...

I haven't told anyone yet. Well, other than including it in my info for my DDC's virtual shower My grandma will be having a shower for me and when she starts getting that set up I'll let her know, and she'll include it in the invitation. At least that's what she did with my sister's baby shower. I don't even know who else I would tell.

I think that's a great idea! I guess my thing is that I could give a flip I'm not entirely close to my family at all, in case you didn't guess that yet!

That is exciting! Dalton was the first grandchild for all the grandparents. I think that's why everyone is hoping this one is a girl so that they can be excited again.
