You know, for someone who wasn't even sure of her name until very recently, you sure do like personalized things!

None for me before the baby. After we find out if we have a Betty or a Benjamin, then yes. We bought a painting for Dalton that says his name, but he wasn't a surprise.

I want to put her name up on the nursery wall as part of the decoration. I just havent figured out which I like yet.

I am sorta worried that i will spend money on a personalized name for the wall and we find out she is actually a he on delivery day. That is a big fear of mine and getting anything personalized.

Here are the 3 current options I am considering (baby's room is having an animal/safari type theme):
1.Baby Zoo Animals on Canvas 20 x 20 MADE TO by MurrayDesignShop

2. 9 Inch Custom Hand Painted Wall Letters Inspired by by letherpaint

3. HAND PAINTED WOODEN LETTERS M2M COTTON TALE SILK by WhimsicalRooms

I do want to get something customized with her name. I've been looking at those wooden letters to hang on the wall and also vinyl wall stickers, but I haven't decided on anything yet.

Cute!

I think Dalton has a personalized plate too, but that was a gift. I think his name painting is the only thing we've bought that's personalized, but my brothers did put one of those little license plates with his nickname on his bike.

Personalizing a baby's gift is an excellent idea, making the gift distinct and special and grows into a cherished token through the years.

The third one is good idea you should go for that.It seems you are really excited about the decoration .Once you see the baby you will have more ideas about what to do.

I wanted to get something customized for the crib. But I don't want monograms or names. I guess I basically wanted a completely custom bedding set, or at least a blanket. If my mom still had her sewing machine, I probably could have asked her to make one. We call him 'bun' so I wanted something, even just a simple blanket with a little baked good detail on it, to tie into that.
The only other thing I wanted to personalize was wooden letters of his name to paint and decorate. And possibly a DIY scrapbook. The manufactured ones at the store are just...not appealing to me.

It's in our tradition to have personalized stuff for each of us in the family. Now that I have my own family, my daughter has loads of personalized stuff and she loves them all.
