So I'm jumping ahead of time a bit because I'm not preggo yet BUT I'm knitting a little baby blankie! I figure that would keep me occupied till I "O". Talk about Getting ready for baby early huh?
It's such a cute blankie so far! I'm so excited to finish it!

Aww You should post pics of it when you're done!

I knitted a baby hat and like three rows of a blanket, and then lost patience with knitting

Cool! I think that's a great way to spend your 2ww or waiting to o! Plus, you can always donate blankets if you end up having to many. Crisis pregnancy centers always can use them and depending on your local hospital, NICUs can almost always use them too (some have specifications based on type of yarn, etc).

Definitely post pics for us when you are done!

I am jealous of your knitting skills! (I also dont really have the energy to try). The closest I get is cross-stitching.

It looks awesome!

That is wonderful. I have taken up crochet again after a long break and made a blanket for our new baby and now making one for a friend. I forgot how relaxing it can be. I love the one you have made.

Wow, that is awesome! Your knitting is amazing! This is inspiring me to learn! I'll probably youtube some tutorials. I used to do some basic basic stitching a long time ago but forgot it all! Thanks for posting!

Hi acchickpea,
Great knitting and I am sure you have completed it now. From where did you learn knitting?

Awww thanks! I actually did complete this blankie and gave it to my SIL who had her baby on 11.11.11..... I started another blankie ... same pattern in a light green for my little chickpea to be because I loved the pattern so much!
I learned how to knit by watching You Tube videos... some of the videos make it so easy... I looked up how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off... super easy for beginners.... then you can get all fancy by watching other videos of how to make other patterns....
Pick up a knitting stick! it becomes very addictive...

Your knitting skills is just amazing. I hope to knit stuffs for my upcoming baby someday. So sad, I don't know how to knit. I just feel it connects you more to the baby inside your womb when you do something special just for him. I'd watch Youtube videos then to learn knitting.
