Sort of. We'll be going to a family practice, but there are a few doctors there and I don't have particularly strong feelings about choosing one of them. I figure if there's a doctor I don't like for some reason, I just won't see that one anymore. If I have problems with all of them, we'll find somewhere else to go.

Yes but we have only met them once. If I dont feel comfortable with them, I have no problem changing! (but they do have privaledges at the hospital we are delivering at)

no, there aren't enough peds in our city, you only get one if you have a sick or prem kid--the twins have one but the other two kids don't

We just use a family doctor too. There are a couple of pediatricians in our town, but most are 30 minutes away which is a no go for me.

My kids have a pediatrician and I love her she is amazing. I have gone through a couple looking for the right one . I shop around and as soon as one messes up I move on. Well depending on the mistake. When you can't diagnosis chicken pox and I can we have problems.

I take my girls to the local pedi clinic, there's a practice of them, I have one that is "our" main one, but we usually just see whomever we can get into, I trust them all

We have an awesome ped. I picked her because of her (crunchy) reputation, and then I hated her because she talks over me (ALL THE FREAKING TIME), but now I love her again because she is SO good with E (who screams when most people come near her). Also, she encourages me to call her freaking cell phone with any problems I have at any time. And she calls back. Always. And if she can be fairly certain of what the problem is based on what I am describing, she will call an Rx into my local pharmacy so I don't have to brave the urgent care with my daughter.

She is teh awesome. Even if she does talk over me. What doctor these days lets you call their cell at midnight when your kid is puking? And it's not like she has a small practice!!

No and this is a sore subject here. My husband and I don't agree on our child's health care. I want natural and he wants traditional. For awhile we "compromised" be deciding to use my family doctor, but I'm not 100% happy with the idea.
Hopefully we don't have a sick kid so it becomes a non-issue.
