Wednesday April 28th i had my weekly doctors appointment.
I did the usual: sanitizer, sign in, sanitizer, leave a urine sample and wait 40 minutes over my scheduled appointment.
So I didnt think this day was going to be any different.
I was called in for my blood pressure check, 160 over something.
"i dont like that, sit for 5 minutes and we'll try again"
No change. So off i got to the hospital for induction!
i was so shocked!
Once i got there i filled out the papers and fingerprinted all the good stuff and was asked a bunch of questions.
i was then offered the Foley catheter, i agreed. from 1 to 4 without contractions??? heck yeah!
but with my luck.. my SPD pubic bone was majorly aching while she tried to place it and i was screaming for her to stop.
I was then given Cervadil. Wow, its so small but you can still feel it! and the laying there for 2 hours blows... and peeing with it in does too!
I was constantly given oxygen and had to try to tilt to the side because Kassandra had alot of still moments that they thought was just her sleep pattern but wanted to make sure.
I guess that freaked me out, the thought of something happening to her and i havent even got to see her little sweet face.
My heart started skipping and it felt like someone was tapping on my chest.
Which scared me even more, and i started crying.. i know, i was very emotional this delivery!
But i got an EKG and they said i just had a normal sinus rhythm i guess.
i guess i was also nervous because my mom had yet to show up from work and i felt like i needed her with me! Mario was a little scared so i didnt expect him to be helping me breathe.. id prolly be helping HIM breathe!!! Surprise surprise, once my mom got there it seemed to go away.
Anxiety!!!!
Then they checked me 1 cm dilated, 60% and soft. TIME FOR PITOCIN!
yeahhh.... pitocin did nothing but give me a backache!
They checked me again a few hours later and i was only 1.5cm dilated!
But my doc had asked if it would be okay for her to break my bag of waters.
Of course i agreed.
POP goes the HARD contractions!
wow. i was asking to turn back the clocks by then.
i then was offered Stadol and i agreed.
Stadol did nothing but make me tired.
They checked me again... and couple hours after breaking my water.. i was 4 cm dilated and asked for my epidural.
Got my epidural and the internal monitors placed. and took a nap for an hour to be wokin up to strong contractions.... and one numb leg.
i was also shivering like crazy!
i yelled "OMG i needa poop!"
they ran in checked me.
"You're 9 cm and i can only feel a little bit of the cervix, Lets push!"
2 hours of pushing and a 2nd degree tear later OUR LIL LOVE was born.
6lbs 7oz 19.5 inches long at 10:48pm Central Texas time.
ON MY COUSINS BIRTHDAY, remember the one i ranted about?!
yeah, her. i hope that isn't predicting anything lol! JK!
