Friday night I went to bed having braxton hicks every 10 minutes. They lasted all night but weren't painful. Saturday they started to feel like more. But I thought theres no way I'll go into labor on my due date

We just went about our normal lives. I was having contractions every 10 minutes that were a 3-4 on the pain scale all day. We went to IHop, Target, played at the park. At the park I told John that the perfect way to end the day would be to have a baby. We went to Iron Man and they were coming every 5 minutes. But I decided to go through my day until it was unbearable so we went to Debbies birthday party. Where they got pretty intense. But I still thought it would be like 12 more hours of this level 6 contractions followed by another like 8 hours of active labor. we left around 830.
I called Susie and she said she'd come in. Valley left and I took a shower to see if they'd stop and they went way up in intensity. But I was determined to embrace them and not fight it off like I did last time. I was having pretty intense back labor and John was setting up the pool. Susie checked me and said I was at 6. I was still laughing and joking between contractions at this point. But by the time I got in the pool I was miserable. My back was REALLY hurting. Poor john had to push really really hard on my back this whole time. I'm probubly brused. lol.
I labored most of the time on my knees and I could feel Lyric descending with each contraction. I wanted to push but was only at 8!! Lyric was just suuper low. susie suggested I flip over and that was unbearable because it put more pressure on my back but in like 15 minutes I was at 10. Since he was so low he was already crowning when I started pushing. Pushing was the worst part for me again. I screamed, and I think I scared Joy. lol.
He was big, I pushed too fast, and so I tore.

but only needed 2 stiches. Having him in water was great. It helped so much and whenever I had to get out to hear hearttones I thought I'd die. and pushing in water was so much easier than on "land". and laboring on my knees made my birth go much faster and pushing much easier.
Lyric is a moody baby. He wants to be left alone. Just don't touch him and he's fine. Bother him and he cries this squeely high pitched cry. his newborn diapers barely fit and he looks like my dad
So all the prophecies about Lyric seem to be coming true

That he will write music (hense the name lyric), he was born at 12:34 which is like the counting of a song, I went into labor on my due date and it was fast and "easy" - well as easy as pushing a 10lb baby w/o drugs can be
I think total "true" labor time was probubly 5.5 hours with about 15 minutes of pushing. but I was laboring mildly all day.
