Miss Savannah Louise was born yesterday on her due date! And for women nervous about inductions I can testify sometimes they're great! I was told Monday I would need to be induced on my due date due to low fluid. I was worried after reading so many opinions on here about inductions but my doc assured me I was favorable. On Tuesday morning I was 1 cm, 60% effaced, and my cervix was starting to move anterior. I started pitocin at 8 am. By 10:30 I was in ALOT of pain. Seriously. I got an epidural which I had planned on anyway. I should have just gotten it earlier. I didn't know when to get it since this was my first time. And holy cow. At 10:45 I was 4 cm, got the epi, and 30 minutes later I was 8 cm!! And in shock! 30 or 45 minutes later it was already time to push! I only pushed through 4 contractions! And I was a mama. The only negative was because it was my first and it went so fast I tore real bad. I'm uncomfortable but not in too much pain (thanks to meds and ice packs). But it's all worth it now that I'm a mama!
