My daughter absolutely loves having her hair cut, especially if they wash it first. To her it's like a full spa treatment. She didn't get her first real haircut until she was about three. After I had her the hospital promptly scrubbed most of her hair off saying it would fall out anyways (I was mad to say the least) and it took a few years for it to grow out long enough to need to be cut. She now gets hers cut every few months since she wants to grow it out.
My son was born with a full head of hair that he was able to keep (I wouldn't let the hospital wash it and did it myself) and his has always grown pretty quickly so he had his first real haircut when he was about 10 months old. He seems to be fascinated by it and is always trying to watch who ever is cutting his hair, usually to the pain of their fingers. Now he gets his hair cut every 2-4 weeks depending on how short they cut it.
My oldest doesn't care for haircuts unless his grandma does it. He got his first haircut at 8 months old. My twins don't mind having their hair cut. They were almost 2 before they got their hair cut for the first time.
