How do you feel about leaving your LO's behind when you go to work? Is it hard for you? Do you call and check up on them? Who watches your kids?

I don't leave them, lol!

I've left Cassidy exactly 2 times in her entire life. I would hate, hate, hate to have to leave her every day. Kudos to you ladies who do.

Wow that is amazing! It was hard for me to leave Nicole when I went back to work but my mom watches my kids. So it wasnt too hard. Then after Hannah it was easier cuz I was so ready for adult interaction

My biggest worry wasn't so much the caregiver, but the fact that my 3.5 yo takes a school bus from school to the babysitter's house. (well he did til I found out my position was eliminated effective Jan. 31, I'll be picking him up starting Feb. 2)

We had daily contact when he'd get off the bus because he's a HORRIBLE eater. She'd call to let me know if he'd eaten all, part or none of his lunch, then she'd offer him something to eat. Oddly I couldn't get the school to give me this information. Um, he's 3.5 wiht a severe communication delay. Not going to tell me he's hungry.

We interviewed both of the in-home sitters WITH Sam present. The one who has/had him after school offered to do a free full day for us just to make sure. that went a long way. She wanted to make sure he was comfortable with her. He ADORES her and her 4yo daughter.

I love going to work.....totally a workaholic if it weren't for Sam. So I'm sure I'll go nuts without a job for a while. But I will get valuable time iwth my boys.

Wow sounds like you have an awesome babysitter! That is just great. Nothing makes you feel better when you have a good relationship and your child loves going Nicole actually never has been to a daycare. My mom takes care of my two kids so its easy for her. She is very very shy so Im not sure how she would do going to a stranger. But she has been getting better. I do want to get her into preschool or something of the sort when she turns three. I think it will be good for her. Nicole doesnt eat a whole lot either although she is getting better at that too and actually eating meat! She for some reason had some kind of texture thing going on.
