When can I switch them to toddler bed? Not that I'm in any rush, but the cribs they have are really low to the ground and I'm short so I basically have to drop them in when trying to put them to bed. I have put them in standing up in the crib and that works sometimes, but I'd like to tuck them in. I can't because I can't reach the bottom of the crib comfortably or much at all even. They are just over 16 months, and they do not try to climb out of their cribs. They also are great sleepers, but they do occasionally wake up in the middle of the night. They do appear to not move as much as they used to when they were younger though.
So, I was wondering when is a good time to try them out in a toddler bed. Should I deal with my height issues as long as they are good in the crib, or should I/can I put them in a toddler bed earlier?

You could put them in a toddler bed earlier if you want.
My dd slept in her crib until she was 22 months old when she climbed out of it.
So we converted her crib to the toddler bed. And honestly, she hasn't slept good since! She knows she can get out now and it's been a huge struggle. I am really wishing I could just put her crib back up!
