So my friend has asked me if there is anything that she can do for me while I'm in the hospital giving birth. It's my first baby and I'm a single mama with no family here,no emotional support from them either.
I'm not sure what to tell her I need help with. Well just to feed my cat and give her some extra attention while I'm in the hospital.
Is there something that YOU would have wanted a friend to do for you while you gave birth?
I would say it would help if she could make some meals for you that you can freeze. If she'd come over and just cook while you're in the hospital and freeze it so all you have to do is heat meals up. You'll be busy and tired and won't want to cook for the first few weeks.
Since you don't have any family close by it might be nice if she came by after the baby was born to see how you are doing and share in your blessing. Everyone wants to "show off" the new baby. Also maybe see if she could bring you home from the hospital if you don't already have a ride.
