I only registered at babies r us when I was pregnant last time. But I do know burlington coat factory, if you have one near you, has a pretty good baby section and they do registries.

Targets return policy is terrible. Babies r us I can say from experience is excellent. I've exchanged and returned so many things without a receipt and they never say a word.

I will probably just register at BRU but I *might* do one on amazon. I think they do registries anyway.

Here BRU and Target have equally horrible return policies. With my son we were able to return to Target without a receipt if the item was on your registry, but not to BRU. Since then Target has changed their policy I believe.

Actually returns are really easy to make at Target if you have a registry. We got an insider tip from a Target employee when we made many returns from our wedding last June.

What you have to do is get your registry gun, and scan the items you want to return and put them on your registry.
After the items you want to return are on your registry, you take them to Customer Service with a new printout of your registry (With the items on it that you want to return) The registry printout acts as a receipt.
They will return the items then with no problem and you get your money back.

It seems complicated but it really is easy and works well.

We did this with many duplicate items we got for our wedding. I'm SO glad we got a nice Customer Service lady that day.

Whew! Anyway! We will register at BRU and Target.. I've noticed some people buy exclusively off of registries, but some just buy what they want or think you would like..

I did both Target and BRU. I compared prices and put the cheaper items on each registry. I also have an Amazon one for myself with my cloth diaper stuff as well as some books I would like to get Jellybean.

I dislike Target's return policy as well, so I won't be registering there. I registered at BRU and a local boutique.

The registry is more my checklist. I have yet to email everyone about it until it's finalized. Right now I have my registry at Target, but since most of the items are online I'm thinking of creating a registry at Amazon and sharing that one w/everyone.

We will be registering at Target and BRU and maybe Burlington but it is more for us to keep track of what we want to buy then anything.

Target, BRU, and Kohls (online, for those who are out of state).
Target's return policy is kind of stupid, but I used to work there and they only do that so they can keep their prices more competitive.
