Just wondering if anyone has had AF type cramps in the 2nd trimester, particularly recently??? I've not really had any cramps since I was 13-ish weeks, and all of a sudden today I have really dull ones... not painful as such, but there all the same. Presuming it's not abnormal? It's worse when I'm sitting up, so maybe it's a muscle type thing...

I did feel cramps a few days ago, then they went away so haven't thought much of them.

I get cramps that are kind of like af cramps when the baby is sitting too low. It is really uncomfortable, but once baby moves they go away. I get it pretty much everyday at one time or another.

tash, I was wondering if it might be round ligament cramping.. I've only had the sharp pains until now, but was wondering if it is to do with my uterus growing...

I had af cramps today! I am so glad you posted this because now I feel better. I was a little worried but they didn't last long so I assumed I was ok. I am glad to know I am not alone.

I am happy you posted this too, because I was worried, I have been getting something like this at night (I thought it was contractions?) but my stomach didn't feel hard so maybe it is more like this. Poor dh has been rejected a few times this week because of them. I was afraid it was a bigger problem, but seeing all our responses I am thinking they are normal. I will just mention at my next appt. coming up next week.

I have had them several times. The one time they were so bad I did go to the ER for them and they said they were actually contractions - so just watch them and try to rest when you can.

Oh! I'm glad you posted this! I've felt them a few times since getting pregnant. Today actually I noticed them again. It's really mild but if I didn't know any better, I'd assume it was AF cramping. I asked my doctor about it quite early on and she said it was normal and could just be my uterus expanding. I wonder if just the really severe ones (shannonranee's description above) are contractions and if the mild ones are just expansion? Does anyone know? Because I don't think mine are contractions (at least HOPE not!)
