Okay so I love spicy food, and my doctor told me that as long as it doesnt give me heart burn, I can eat spicy food... however for some reason my coworkers (who apparently go their MD licenses when I wasnt looking......) keep telling me not to eat spicy food it will hurt the baby...
I am going to believe my doctor. What do yall think?
Yes, believe your doctor.... millions of people eat spicy curry, spicy mexican food, etc. etc. because that's what the local food is. I don't see how it could possibly hurt your baby.
I eat curry, chilis, even a few jalapenos - the only risk is the heart burn!!
I think after baby comes you have to be a bit careful because some of what you eat will pass through the breast milk - I know people have said they couldn't eat a lot of beans because it would give their little ones gas!!
I love spicy foods! That's the thing I craved the most in the first weeks! I can understand the BF thing, but I don't shee what it would do to the baby right now? You should ask them to see what their answer is!
EW I hate it when people act like they know more than you about something that you've asked your doctor about.
I hate it when people act like they know stuff just cos they heard it somewhere else BLAH lame-o's!!!
