Is anyone else planning on using a mini crib for the baby? We live in a 2 bedroom(pretty big) apartment. My older 2 share a room and the baby will share a room with us for a while. I'm really liking the idea of a mini crib for the baby rather than a full sized one since it will take up less space. My husband is hopefully going to be buying one from his coworker for a GREAT price. I haven't seen it yet but I'm hoping I'll like it. For the price he's selling it to us for I'll MAKE myself like it! haha.

Similar. The ones I have been looking at don't fold up though. They're just a smaller version of a crib. I usually switch our kids out of the crib at about 18 months so the kiddo should be fine in that til then!

I looked at one....it had an attach attached drawers/changer table, but it was expensive and it was 1 inch bigger than a regular crib (regular 53" / mini combo 54"). Since the fullsize crib was half the cost of the mini, I went with the fullsize.

I think if it is going to make things easier for you guys - as far as space goes - then why not. the main thing with having a smaller crib, is that the babe grows out of them faster - but if you put your kids in 'proper' beds @ 18mo, I can't see why it'd be a problem

That's so crazy that it was more expensive! The ones we are looking at are pretty nice. hopefully the one his coworker has is too. They have pretty good taste so I am sure it is. Most of the ones I'm looking at say you can use them up to 2 yrs. So it shoudl work out ok. My son is still in a toddler bed which is the same size as a crib and he has TONS of room left. So I doubt the little one will outgrow it before he is out of it. If he does, then we'll just have to move him sooner!
