I woke up this morning and went to go to the toilet. pulled down my undies and noticed a thick brown discharge sitting in my panty liner. I have no idea about bleeding and discharges while pregnant so I am kinda a little on edge about it. Is it something I should be worried about?

Hmmm... I only ever had that when I lost my mucus plug, and it is too early for that (I think? not sure how your body reacts after a couple of pregnancies!). I would probably give your ob/mw a call tomorrow (or today if you can) just to let them know & see what they say.

sounds like a piece of plug. The plug regenerates though so unless you start having contractions i wouldn't worry too too much. Just take it easy and when in doubt, call your care provider...that is what they are there for!

I don't know much about this either but I'd probably ring the doc just to be safe.

I would definately call the doctor and ask about it, it's better to be safe than sorry. It's probably not a huge deal. Brown blood means old blood, so that's good.

I had that weeks before delivering dd, but I had to be induced so I don't think it is necessarily a sign of preterm labor, but I would tell the dr at my next appt or call if it happened again.
