I can't believe it!! I am officially 30 weeks today

Its crazy how fast this is going & I am starting to feel soooo unprepared/worried, more so emotionally. I dont think I been around a baby since I was like 10yrs old and neither has DH so this will all be very very new to us. Thank goodness we are taking a few classes. Dont get me wrong I am super excited to meet and take care of my baby girl, I'm just worried I wont know what I'm doing & just cry when she crys lol.

Yes, I start to feel overwhelmed with all the responsibility. It's hard to imagine going from always looking out for myself first (aside from hubby but he's a grown man who can watch out for himself, too), to putting someone else first. I know it's irrational because I KNOW we will be fine, but the hard parts scare me.

I'm glad I'm not alone (not that I want anyone to feel the anxiety lol) just that I guess it can be normal to feel this way? I also know we will do just fine & that baby will get all the love in the world, but I can't seem to shake this feeling of being unprepared.

I'm right there with you! It's just been DH, me and the dogs for 8 years. It's been a long time since I have been around babies (my sisters' kids) and DH has NEVER been around babies. Not sure we know what we are getting ourselves into!

I have two kids already and I still feel like that sometimes. Sure there are things that I remember about having a baby, but there are other things that I seem to have completely blocked out of my mind until I am reminded of them. I am sure that it will all come together when the time comes (for all of us, BTHT or otherwise) but it is certainly a scary thing to think about at the moment.

I remember with both of my kids crying all the way to hospital that I wasn't ready and pleading that I would do anything to just have a little more time to prepare for things. But then they came, and things were alright.

I start to think...how am I going to keep track of 3 kids under the age of 7..I can barely tackle 2...what was I thinking? I don't think much thinking was going on at that moment! One day at a time ladies...one day at a time!

It will all fall into place, and once you are holding that little one in your arms, it will kick in. It's mommy instinct. You will know what to do. You may not know HOW to do it but you will know what to do. Don't be afraid to ask fro help!

If you need to cry when the time comes, just do it... don't feel bad about crying. I don't think hardly any moms EVER get through the first few weeks without some tears (and some, like me, do it every day a few times, lol!)

The big thing about the newborn stage: just remember, it doesn't last very long. It can seem exhausting and overwhelming at first, but they DO grow up and change so very very quickly..... in three weeks, you've got a different baby ...and then another three weeks and they're changed again!

So true! I have to keep reminding myself of this! I forgot how to care for a newborn.
