No, I'm not ready for Liam to be sleeping in it at night yet, I'm just a little worried that when I am it might be a tough transition. We are using the rock and play sleeper for his bassinett so it's a pretty drastic difference (it is smaller, at an inclined angle, and it rocks). I started yesterday putting him in his crib for naps to kind of condition him. He does well with it if he's already sleeping when I put him in but i'm not sure he sleeps quite as hard as in the sleeper.

Anyone deal with this before or have any tips?

last night was Sam's first night in his crib, he did pretty good. the transition wasn't too much different though, he went from the pack n play in the family room to his crib in his room but we also use the snuggle nest and used it in his pack n play and also in his crib so it wasn't really that different. I would say just keep getting him used to it at nap time and when you are ready just try it and see how it goes, maybe he will transition easily and you won't have to worry about, ya never know!

I have no advice because my babies sleep in their cribs pretty much from day one. But I wanted to wish you good luck!

Caleb actually preferred the crib over the pack n play but I think it had more to do with where it was than anything. I know my Dr sounded surprised that he's in a crib already so I'm wondering if I should NOT have him in it. Where we are is essentially the same room so I'm right there through the night but I'm starting to pull him into bed with me in the mornings.

I started Caleb off with naps in his crib and would just put him in it over and over again. I don't know if that is a helpful suggestion or not but it could be one way to start.

Ditto Sunny... both DS and now DD have been in their cribs from the start (we have a very small upstairs space so DD's crib is still only like 15 feet away from me, even though it's technically in another room.) I was nervous about having either of them in a swing or bassinet or something else and then having a tough time transitioning so I do understand where you're coming from though!

Oh, one thing that might help... if he's sleeping at a slight angle in the bassinet, perhaps putting a positioner wedge in the crib might help, so he's still angled up? Might just make it seem a bit more similar to what he's in now?

Good luck!!

Grayson has been in the nursery in his crib since about day 3. He hated the bassinet/cradle next to our bed. It was uncomfortable and he rolled around on the hard mattress. We tried to use a positioner and he hated that even more. So he sleeps in the crib right in the next room. We keep both doors open and also have the baby monitor on.

I have Kaellyn in bed with us so I don't know how the transition will be. I'm a little nervous.

We have the rock and play sleeper that Elliot sleeps in at night and in the day she naps in the pack and play. Lately I've tried to get her to nap in the crib, but she's out for 20 minutes and then wakes up screaming. So, I think it may be a while before she gets used to the crib!
